Over the years, Insomniac Games has received considerable recognition from critics as an acclaimed video game developer. In August 2019, Sony announced it had agreed to acquire Insomniac as the 14th internal studio within SIE Worldwide Studios. It is currently developing Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (2023) and Marvel's Wolverine for the PlayStation 5.īefore 2019, Insomniac remained as an independent studio working for Sony and other publishers such as Microsoft, EA, and Oculus. The studio's most recent project is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart which released exclusively for the PlayStation 5 in June 2021. In 2016, Insomniac released a re-imagining of the first Ratchet & Clank, and in 2018 released its first licensed title, Marvel's Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 an additional game, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, was released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2020. The company worked with Microsoft Studios on 2014's Sunset Overdrive, partnered with GameTrust to release the underwater Metroidvania game Song of the Deep, and released several mobile games and virtual reality projects.

Insomniac's next project was Spyro the Dragon, a successful video game that spawned two sequels within two years. The company's first project was Disruptor, for PlayStation, whose poor sales almost led to the company's bankruptcy. In 2019, the studio was acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment, becoming a part of PlayStation Studios.

SPYRO 2: Ripto?s Rage Remastered All Cutscenes (Spyro Reignited Trilogy) Game Movie SPYRO 3: Year of the Dragon Remastered All Cutscenes (Spyro Reignited Trilogy) Game Movie After he defeats Gnasty, an ending clip shows him back in Artisan World discussing his victory with the news reporters. He then makes his way to Gnasty`s World where he fights his way through two precursor portals before confronting the Gnorc leader himself. He visits each of the dragon realms in sequence, freeing trapped dragons, collecting treasure, and rescuing dragon eggs from pesky thieves within each realms` portal worlds before facing realm bosses. Aided by his dragonfly companion, Sparx, Spyro vows to rescue his dragon brethren and defeat Gnasty Gnorc once and for all. One dragon, Spyro, is able to avoid the attack due to his more short-bodied appearance in comparison to the much larger dragons. However, Gnasty is watching the live feed from his home world and, enraged by the insults, uses a magic spell to encase all dragons in crystal and sends out his hordes of gnorc soldiers. When the reporter asks about Gnasty Gnorc, a gnorc (half gnome and half orc) who lives within his own, sixth realm, one of the dragons cockily describes him as an ugly, simple minded creature who poses no threat to the Dragon Kingdom.
